Galveston development rules highlight never-ending battle between landowners, developers, residents and city government over height restrictions on condo’s, office towers and the like.

The Development firm Falcon Group says it plans to add a twin-peaked, 300-unit tower to the Palisade Palms project that already boasts Galveston’s tallest building. Sapphire Towers, the tallest on South Padre Island has similar plans.
