Galveston Bolivar Ferry Re-Opens Showing Recovery Progress
Galveston Bolivar Ferry Re-Opens Showing Recovery Progress
The ferry re-opening on November 11th. shows the dedication and swift progress state and local officials are making towards the area's recovery after Ike.
The state Department of Transportation will operate two vessels daily. One will run 24 hours, and the other will go in service at 6:30 a.m. and run for eight to 12 hours, depending on the traffic. The timetable for operating a third vessel is Jan. 1 2009.
The ferry running will help Bolivar residents and aide home recovery efforts (and sales) on both sides of the ferry.
